Summary

Join Wealthsimple, a leading fintech company in Canada, as a Senior Associate, Marketing Compliance. You will review marketing materials for legal and securities legislation requirements, advise stakeholders, and collaborate with teams to flag potential issues.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a law clerk, compliance officer or working in the legal field
• 2-3 years marketing legal/compliance experience an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Organizational skills - being able to handle asks that require a fast turnaround time
• Experience with the payments and/or securities industry

Responsibilities

• Conducting reviews of marketing materials to ensure they meet legal and securities legislation requirements
• Advising the Marketing team and other stakeholders on the applicable requirements and risks associated with certain practices
• Drafting promotional and contest materials for various products
• Working with other members of the Legal & Compliance team in providing advice on misleading advertising and/or regulatory matters
• Collaborating with different teams to flag potential issues on promotional launches
