Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with a balanced mix of manual/functional and automation testing
  • At least 5+ years of experience in Web Automation, including framework design and implementation
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across product, development, and QA teams
  • Strong experience in manual testing, including test case design, exploratory testing, regression, smoke, and user acceptance testing
  • Proficiency in C# for automation scripting
  • Experience in automated web testing using tools like Selenium, and familiarity with modern frameworks
  • Develop automated tests for modern front-end applications built in modern javascript frameworks
  • Solid understanding of functional testing methodologies, test planning, and test strategy creation
  • Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, including validation of request/response, headers, and status codes
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective test cases for both manual and automated execution
  • Experience with cross-browser testing, usability, and accessibility testing
  • Proficiency in using cloud-based platforms like BrowserStack or LambdaTest for both manual and automated testing
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
  • Experience in mobile application testing, covering both functional and non-functional aspects
  • Strong understanding of testing types: Functional, Integration, Regression, UAT, Smoke, and Release Management

Responsibilities

  • Champion functional quality across teams by acting as the voice of QA, ensuring testing strategies align with business goals and user expectations
  • Design, document, and execute comprehensive test strategies and best practices, covering both manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications
  • Evaluate the ROI of automation and guide teams on when automation may be counterproductive, recommending improvements to functional testing approaches
  • Implement the TCOE Architect-approved reusable automation framework for regression and new functionality testing
  • Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage for all functional scenarios
  • Conduct exploratory, smoke, sanity, regression, and user acceptance testing to ensure product quality
  • Recommend and implement solutions to reduce test execution time and optimize test maintenance
  • Help team members in automation frameworks, CI/CD processes, and manual testing methodologies
  • Ensure automation frameworks support scalability, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility compliance
  • Ensure scalability and maintainability of test suites, including regular updates and refactoring
  • Review and improve existing automation practices and guide teams on when to automate vs. when to test manually
  • Support delivery teams in setting up automation processes, PR reviews, and coding practices
  • Participate in defect triage meetings, root cause analysis, and provide detailed bug reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mobile automation testing using Appium, including framework setup and maintenance
  • Hands-on testing across Android and iOS platforms using emulators, simulators, and real devices
  • Familiarity with automated mobile test frameworks and seamless integration into CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience testing modern front-end applications built with frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular, with a strong focus on validating responsive UI designs across various devices and screen sizes
  • Exposure to Testing Centre of Excellence (TCoE) or enterprise QA practices
