Senior Automation QA Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Senior Automation Tester and build robust automation frameworks for API and UI testing. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using various tools and technologies. Responsibilities include ensuring test scalability, efficiency, and integration within a CI/CD pipeline. Collaboration with developers, QA, and product teams is crucial in our Agile environment. You will investigate test failures, analyze root causes, and debug automation issues. This role requires strong programming skills in C# or TypeScript and extensive experience in automation testing.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation
• Proficiency in C# or TypeScript, with strong OOP principles and hands-on programming
• Solid experience with Selenium, Playwright, and API testing tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or SoapUI
• Strong understanding of test architecture and framework design
• Experience working in CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and code review processes
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in Agile teams

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks for both UI and API testing
• Develop automated test scripts using Selenium or Playwright for web applications
• Automate API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or SoapUI
• Ensure test suite optimization and performance tuning to support rapid feedback in CI/CD pipelines
• Integrate test scripts with CI/CD tools and maintain test execution in cloud or virtual environments
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and product teams in an Agile delivery model
• Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage test code and collaborate with teams
• Investigate test failures, analyze root causes, and debug automation issues effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., SpecFlow, Cucumber)
• Exposure to cloud-based testing tools or cross-browser automation platforms
• Prior experience testing in microservices-based or distributed architectures
