Senior Automation Test Engineer

Summary

Join ELEKS Quality Assurance Office as a Senior Automation Test Engineer (Python+JS) in Ukraine, Poland, or Croatia. This role involves working on a web-based platform for financial advisors, focusing on end-to-end test automation (UI, API), performance testing, and database validation. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing automation scripts, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with team members and clients. The position requires experience with various testing frameworks and tools, including Selenium, k6, Playwright, Cypress, and SQL. You will also need experience with design patterns and Git. Upper-Intermediate English is required.

Requirements

• Experience with end-to-end test automation (UI, API)
• Experience in smoke testing and result analysis
• Test maintenance and refactoring
• Performance testing with k6 (JavaScript)
• Database validation (SQL, SQLAlchemy)
• Page Object Model (POM) usage
• Experience with design patterns: Factory, Singleton, Strategy, etc
• JavaScript – for performance & frontend tests (k6, Playwright, Cypress)
• SQL – complex queries and DB checks
• UI testing: Selenium (Python), POM
• API testing: requests, Postman, Swagger, JSON schema
• Git/Bitbucket – branching, pull requests, code review
• BrowserStack TurboScale – cloud cross-browser testing
• Upper-Intermediate level of English

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the delivery, performance testing, measurements, general reports, etc
• Review, analyze and assess project requirements and specifications as well as product functionality to convert them into quality control process artifacts
• Prepare and acquire test data
• Develop, execute, refactor and optimize automation scripts
• Log and evaluate results and document deviations from the expected results
• Understand Business Requirements and design architecture according to business needs
• Collaborate with team members to follow best practices and requirements
• Communicate with a customer side
