Senior AWS Migration Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Senior AWS Migration Engineer who will lead end-to-end cloud migration projects using AWS services. The ideal candidate should have expertise in AWS migration tools, networking, and various AWS services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud migrations, with a focus on AWS
• Deep knowledge of AWS migration services and tools
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and implementations in AWS
• Expertise in a wide range of AWS services
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with data migration tools and techniques

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end AWS migration strategies
• Lead complex migration projects from planning to execution
• Optimize existing infrastructure for cloud environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Implement and manage secure, scalable network architectures in AWS
• Execute data migration tasks using various AWS and third-party tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with database migration techniques and tools (e.g., AWS Database Migration Service)
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
• Experience with hybrid cloud architectures
• Knowledge of AWS Snow Family devices for large-scale data migrations
• Familiarity with AWS Organizations and multi-account strategies
