Summary
Join Calendly's Engineering team as a Senior Backend Engineer and contribute to the scaling and decomposition of our monolith platform into microservices. You will collaborate with a team to build new features for enterprise customers, contribute to platform scaling initiatives, and participate in agile ceremonies. This role requires 7+ years of software development experience in a SaaS environment, expertise in SOA and monolith-to-services architecture rebuilds, and excellent problem-solving skills. Requirements
- 7+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company
- Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) (microservices)
- Experience with a Monolith to Services architectural rebuild
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems to identify root causes and implement effective mitigations and resolutions
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and propose new solutions or improvements that align with organizational goals
- Ability to adapt to new technologies, changing requirements, and evolving organizational needs
- A drive to craft clean, reliable and maintainable code
- Availability for participation in on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

- Meet regularly with Product and Design to fine tune requirements
- Attend agile ceremonies to help your team plan out their work and get it done

- Review implementation plans and pull requests from your peers
