Senior Backend Engineer

Summary

Join CoinTracker's close-knit, early-stage distributed team and play a key role in scaling backend systems. As a backend engineer, you will build new features, products, and integrations, design scalable systems, and deliver top-level product and engineering objectives. You will collaborate with team members across the company and work on projects such as scaling the data ingestion platform and leveraging AI technologies. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend engineering experience, strong CS fundamentals, and experience with cloud platforms like GCP or AWS. They should be able to work effectively remotely and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional (non-internship) experience as a backend engineer, preferably in the data engineering or crypto/finance domain
• Have strong CS fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, system design, and distributed systems
• Deep knowledge of backend technologies, including databases, orchestrators, messaging systems, data pipelines, and more
• Write high-quality code, value software testing, and uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design
• Experience designing, scaling, and maintaining production systems, ideally within high-growth or early-stage environments
• Strong fundamentals with a cloud platform like GCP or AWS
• Able to work effectively in a remote setting and able to overlap with our core hours of 9 AM to 12 PM PT / 12 - 3pm EST
