Senior Backend Engineer

Requirements

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Be comfortable using PHP8+ and TypeScript and have enough familiarity with technologies such as GraphQL, REST, MySQL, Docker and AWS
• Have professional experience in developing, scaling and maintaining large software solutions
• Be an expert in modern software development practices, such as continuous delivery, test automation, observability and static code analysis
• Not be afraid to dive into legacy code and improve it when necessary. But also be able to design and implement new features from scratch in a performant and maintainable way
• Be able to get things done and not be afraid to take ownership of your work
• Be able to communicate fluently in English

Responsibilities

• Become a key member of a dedicated team focused on providing essential tools, services, and foundations for product teams
• Take responsibility for enhancing and updating both new and existing backend services to ensure they meet current standards and organizational needs
• Implement strategies to scale services effectively, optimizing for reliability and performance to support the demands of various product teams
• Prioritize the reliability and security of backend services, ensuring they operate seamlessly and protect organizational data
• Recognize the crucial role of the Backend Platform team in enabling all teams within the organization to achieve their objectives, contributing to Frontify's overall mission
