Senior Backend Engineer

Summary

LMW is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their remote team for LMW Malta LTD. The role involves designing, implementing, and integrating product features, solving technical problems, helping define internal standards, and migrating old code to the new codebase.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development, with a focus on scalable and high-performance systems
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js, along with expertise in relevant frameworks like Django, Spring Boot, or Express
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, excellent communication skills, and experience mentoring junior engineers

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the design, implementation and integration of product features
• Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity
• Help define and improve the Company’s customer's internal standards for style, maintainability and best practices for a high-scale web environment
• Help migrate the customer's old code to the new codebase

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
