Senior Backend Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ Years of experience working with Java / JEE
• 4+ Years of experience working with Spring / Hibernate
• Solid experience with MySQL
• Proven experience with REST / SOAP APIs, Microservices
• Experience with Maven
• Experience with Webservices
• Strong experience with Cloud (AWS or GCP)
• Advanced English Level is required for this role as you will work with US clients. Effective communication in English is essential to deliver the best solutions to our clients and expand your horizons

Responsibilities

• Develop the platform and data abstractions that will scale as the company grows
• Work on message queues, implement security best practices and enhance distributed data storage and processing
• Solve operational challenges and improve existing systems for scalability and efficiency
• Leverage cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP) to enhance security, reliability, and performance
• Take ownership of Messaging, Monitoring, and Reliability Engineering to support the company’s products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, QA, Finance, and Merchant Onboarding
• Document and explain technical designs, best practices, and integration guidelines to various stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with socket programming
• Experience with Angular, React, or JavaScript frameworks for frontend work
• Understanding of database optimization and performance tuning
• CI/CD experience
