Senior Backend Engineer

Summary

Join Offchain Labs' Nitro Backend team and work on the core infrastructure powering Arbitrum, a leading Ethereum scaling solution. You will tackle complex distributed systems challenges, optimize performance, and contribute to Arbitrum's security and scalability. Collaborate with research, product, and blockchain engineering teams at the cutting edge of blockchain technology. This role requires extensive production experience with a concurrent programming language (e.g., Go, C++, or Rust) and a strong sense of ownership. You should be up-to-date on the latest technologies and possess excellent communication skills. Requirements

• Possess extensive production experience with a programming language that supports concurrency (e.g. Go, C++, or Rust)
• Possess a strong sense of ownership in your work which drives you to find new and innovative ways to solve complex problems through rigorous experimentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with WebAssembly, particularly writing high performant and high security code in production environments
• Passion for, curiosity about, or experience working with Blockchain technology
• Experience working with compilers, architecting systems and developing SDKs
