Senior Backend Engineer

Summary

onX is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Growth domain team. This role involves building scalable services, participating in architectural decisions, and collaborating with other team members. The position can be performed remotely or from one of onX's corporate offices, Basecamps, or Connection Hubs. Minimum eight years of professional software development experience is required, with at least three years focusing on API development with Elixir.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable services to support new features and products for the onX suite of apps
• Write unit, integration, and acceptance tests
• Participate in architectural decisions involving our services
• Collaborate effectively with other team members and stakeholders
• Lead by example - embody our company values
• Leverage and extend existing onX services
• Participate in an on-call schedule to support backend services after work hours
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Supervisor
