Senior Backend Engineer

Summary

Join Postscript's Data Platform team as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to enriching the product with cross-domain data services and integrations. You will design and build end-to-end data pipeline solutions, focusing on data ingestion, propagation, persistence, and service development. This role is crucial for ensuring reliable and actionable data throughout the platform and advancing product-driven AI efforts. The position requires extensive experience in building distributed systems, working with AWS services, and various data persistence technologies. Requirements

• Have several years (5+) of experience writing high quality production code in both Go and Python
• Have designed and built complex distributed systems and have strong opinions on their design
• Have built data intensive software solutions in an AWS environment and have working experience with several AWS services (ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, Elasticache, etc.)
• Have a broad range of experience with data persistence technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL, OLAP, etc.) and know how to select the right tool for the job
• Have worked in event driven systems and have experience with technologies like Kafka, Kinesis, RabbitMQ, etc
• Have gotten your hands dirty with infrastructure and have used infrastructure as code technologies like Terraform

Responsibilities

• Design and build performant and scalable distributed data systems with high scale
• Write high quality code to make your software designs a reality
• Build services to support our product with cross domain data
• Design, build, and maintain our 3rd party integrations
• Mentor and support your fellow engineers via code reviews, design reviews and peer feedback

• Be comfortable with ambiguity and like to dig into the problems as much as you love creating solutions
• Stay abreast of new technologies and are always looking to incorporate them into our stack
