Senior Backend Engineer

Summary

This role involves building and maintaining backend and frontend applications, integrating data sources, and writing efficient, testable code. Experience with MEAN/MERN stack is preferred.

Requirements

• Have a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, and/or other specialized relevant fields
• Have a minimum of 3 years of total work experience
• Have experience implementing scalable applications using React Native, React and Node
• Have experience with modern frameworks and design patterns, minimum one-year experience with MEAN/MERN full-stack paradigm
• Be able to communicate effectively and work with people remotely

Responsibilities

• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code on server-side & client-side JS frameworks
• Design & build RESTful API services & integration with the frontend application tech
• Write Unit Tests and API flows using tools such as JEST
• Integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Understand fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Create database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Implement automated testing platforms, performance and unit testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with Backend - Typescript, Javascript, Nodejs, MongoDB, Postgres, JEST
• Have experience with Infrastructure - AWS, S3, Docker
• Have experience with Tools - Github, Github Actions
• Have experience of working with frontend JavaScript technologies (React.js/React Native) & Backend(Nodejs/Expressjs)
