Summary

Join Tilt, the UK's largest live shopping platform, as a Senior Backend Engineer on our Seller Experience team. You will play a key role in building and scaling the systems powering our seller platform, working within an autonomous squad. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs, creating robust solutions for complex challenges, and building and maintaining cloud infrastructure. This is a fast-paced startup environment requiring strong experience in NodeJS, AWS, and database design. Requirements

  • Strong experience developing and deploying highly scalable applications and APIs in production environments
  • Deep knowledge of the NodeJS ecosystem and its associated technologies
  • Extensive experience with AWS services and infrastructure as code
  • Strong foundation in database design and management, particularly with relational databases
  • You're an ambitious problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments
  • You communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively in autonomous teams
  • You're passionate about building systems that empower sellers and enhance their experience

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement highly scalable backend services and APIs that power our seller tools, from shipping integrations to AI-driven features
  • Create robust, maintainable solutions for complex seller-focused challenges while ensuring optimal performance and reliability
  • Build and maintain the cloud infrastructure that supports our growing seller ecosystem, ensuring high availability and scalability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with frontend technologies (VueJS, React)
  • Expertise with NestJS framework
  • Proficiency in GraphQL API development
  • Experience with AWS Typescript CDK
  • Knowledge of document databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB)
  • Experience with AWS Data Pipelines (Glue, SageMaker)
