Senior Backend Engineer

Summary

Voltus is seeking an experienced product-oriented backend engineer with 5-10 years of software engineering experience to join their remote team. The role involves working closely with the team to define, scope, and deliver features, prototyping and iterating on new ideas, mentoring junior engineers, contributing shared tooling, infrastructure, and documentation for team velocity and knowledge share.

Requirements

• 5-10 years software engineering experience
• Experience building durable and reliable production systems (Python is a plus but not a requirement)
• Experience working with data at scale
• Familiarity with domain-driven design
• Experience building clean and intelligible APIs
• Experience with microservice architecture best practices

Benefits

• Base pay is $150,000-$185,000 annually, with 10% bonus paid semi-annually, and equity
