Senior BI Backend Developer

Summary

Join KOSTAL Group, a global leader in solar and automotive solutions, as a Senior BI Backend Developer in their new Hungarian business service center. This role involves maintaining and supporting existing BI tools, collaborating with architects on solution design, and contributing to the S/4HANA/BW4HANA rollout project. You will create SAP-BW data flows, models, and views, develop extractors, implement ABAP routines, and manage external consultants. The position offers flexible remote work options from anywhere in Hungary with occasional office presence. Requirements

• University degree within IT or similar
• At least 8 years of experience in BI world
• Expertise in SAP BWonHANA
• Strong knowledge of SAPBWonHANA architecture and data modeling
• Experience with ADSO, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, and SAP HANA Calculation Views
• Skills in SQL and HANA Script
• ETL Processes and Data Integration
• Ability to integrate data from various source systems (both SAP and non-SAP)
• ABAP Development
• Experience with ABAP particularly for minor custom developments in the SAP BW context (e.g., routines, user exits)
• Experience with Reporting Tools
• Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Analysis for Office, or other frontend tools integrated with BW
• Project Experience
• Experience with implementation, migration, and optimization projects in the SAP BW domain
• Ability to design and execute end-to-end architectures
• Understanding of Business Processes
• Familiarity with various SAP modules such as FI/CO, SD( preferred ), MM, PP, or HR and their data models in BW
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Agile and Traditional Project Management
• Experience working in agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) as well as traditional waterfall methodologies
• Proficiency in creating technical documentation and specifications
• Experience with both automated and manual testing processes
• Fluent English

Responsibilities

• Detailing the solution design in close cooperation with our solution architects
• Creation of SAP-BW data flows, data models and CDS views
• Extractor creation/development to SAP and non-SAP applications
• Implementation of smaller routines in ABAP
• Creation of programming requests for our internal development team or for external programmers
• Steering of external consultants and/or developers
• Participation in our S/4Hana / BW4Hana rollout project

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP HANA Data Modeling (not a must)
• Proficiency in native SAP HANA data modeling
