Senior BI Backend Developer

Summary

Join KOSTAL Group, a global leader in solar and automotive solutions, as a Senior BI Backend Developer in their new Hungarian business service center. Maintain and support existing BI tools, collaborating with solution architects on design details. Develop SAP-BW data flows, models, and CDS views, creating extractors for SAP and non-SAP applications. Implement ABAP routines, manage programming requests, and guide external consultants. Participate in the S/4HANA/BW4HANA rollout project. This role offers flexible remote work options from anywhere in Hungary with occasional office presence.

Requirements

• University degree within IT or similar
• At least 8 years of experience in BI world
• Expertise in SAP BWonHANA
• Strong knowledge of SAPBWonHANA architecture and data modeling
• Experience with ADSO, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, and SAP HANA Calculation Views
• Proficiency in native SAP HANA data modeling
• Skills in SQL and HANA Script
• Ability to integrate data from various source systems (both SAP and non-SAP)
• Experience with ABAP particularly for minor custom developments in the SAP BW context (e.g., routines, user exits)
• Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Analysis for Office, or other frontend tools integrated with BW
• Experience with implementation, migration, and optimization projects in the SAP BW domain
• Ability to design and execute end-to-end architectures
• Familiarity with various SAP modules such as FI/CO, SD( preferred ), MM, PP, or HR and their data models in BW
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience working in agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) as well as traditional waterfall methodologies
• Proficiency in creating technical documentation and specifications
• Experience with both automated and manual testing processes

Responsibilities

• Detailing the solution design in close cooperation with our solution architects
• Creation of SAP-BW data flows, data models and CDS views
• Extractor creation/development to SAP and non-SAP applications
• Implementation of smaller routines in ABAP
• Creation of programming requests for our internal development team or for external programmers
• Steering of external consultants and/or developers
• Participation in our S/4Hana / BW4Hana rollout project
