Summary
Join Twilio as a Senior Billing Operations Analyst to support the order management and billing function, working closely with Deal Operations, Revenue Accounting, and Sales. This role involves ensuring timely and accurate order processing and invoice generation, resolving internal and external escalations, and validating customer contracts. You will also execute SOX-compliant month-end reconciliations, gather and format data for reporting, participate in month-end close processes, and contribute to new process implementations and training. The position requires 5+ years of experience in billing operations, proficiency in Excel, and excellent communication skills. It's a remote role based in Mexico City with minimal travel.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in a Billing Operations role
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and prioritize various deliverables
- Ability to prioritize and multitask throughout high volume order processing
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues independently
- Collaborative working style and experience working cross-functionally
- Ability to participate in flexible timezone meetings periodically
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Responsibilities
- Support an International team of Order Management and Billing Specialists to ensure timely and accurate order processing and invoice generation
- Respond to and provide resolutions for internal and external escalations and customer inquiries
- Review validation of customer contracts across multiple systems to ensure accuracy of financial data in each system and to ensure accurate and timely provisioning of contracts prepared by analysts
- Execute and own SOX compliant month end reconciliations over billing and provisioning, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Gather and format large raw data sets to assist with customer billing reporting and queries
- Participate in month end close, including: Managing and tracking recurring billing and required approvals and tracking and application of customer credits
- Reviewing and approving credits within a specific threshold
- Responsible for creating monthly bill runs
- Participate in new process implementations, operational improvements, system enhancements, and training new team members, contributing from a subject matter expertise perspective
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems like Zuora and/or Salesforce is preferred
- Post secondary education in Finance, Accounting or Business
- Experience working in the SaaS/technology industry
- Experience working with an international team
- Knowledge of and experience with SOX controls
