Requirements
- Masterโs degree in bioinformatics with 4+ years post-graduate experience, or PhD with 1-3 years of post-graduate experience
- Deep understanding of DNA sequence data and its analysis
- Strong background in statistics, including building statistical models, selecting appropriate test statistics, and performing power analyses
- Experience with public genomics data sources, such as HapMap, dbSNP, and 1000 Genomes
- Advanced proficiency in Python programming and workflow languages like Nextflow and WDL
- Practical experience with high-performance computing environments (e.g., Kubernetes, SGE, LSF, SLURM)
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or GCP
Responsibilities
- Collaborate as part of a dynamic, cross-disciplinary team of molecular and computational biologists to develop innovative NGS assays for clinical diagnostics
- Design and implement analysis tools and pipelines for diagnostic assays targeting tumor, germline, and cell-free DNA samples
- Partner closely with wet lab scientists to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex, high-throughput NGS workflows encompassing diverse sample types and analytical targets
- Work directly with clinical staff to validate and deploy diagnostic assays
- Contribute to all stages of the process, from sequencing and analysis through validation and production deployment
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD with 1-3 years of post-graduate experience
- Experience working with RNA-focused applications
