Requirements

• Master’s degree in bioinformatics with 4+ years post-graduate experience, or PhD with 1-3 years of post-graduate experience
• Deep understanding of DNA sequence data and its analysis
• Strong background in statistics, including building statistical models, selecting appropriate test statistics, and performing power analyses
• Experience with public genomics data sources, such as HapMap, dbSNP, and 1000 Genomes
• Advanced proficiency in Python programming and workflow languages like Nextflow and WDL
• Practical experience with high-performance computing environments (e.g., Kubernetes, SGE, LSF, SLURM)
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or GCP

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as part of a dynamic, cross-disciplinary team of molecular and computational biologists to develop innovative NGS assays for clinical diagnostics
• Design and implement analysis tools and pipelines for diagnostic assays targeting tumor, germline, and cell-free DNA samples
• Partner closely with wet lab scientists to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex, high-throughput NGS workflows encompassing diverse sample types and analytical targets
• Work directly with clinical staff to validate and deploy diagnostic assays
• Contribute to all stages of the process, from sequencing and analysis through validation and production deployment

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD with 1-3 years of post-graduate experience
• Experience working with RNA-focused applications
