Requirements

  • Must have completed a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Cancer Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or Computer Science
  • At least 5-10 years of industry or academic experience
  • Computational skills using Python and/or R
  • Proven scientific reputation as demonstrated by scientific publication and/or contribution to successful product development in industry
  • Expertise in developing NGS pipelines using contemporary tools for processing and analyzing NGS data (including epigenetics, DNA, RNA) within a high performance computing environment
  • In-depth knowledge of creating statistical models and developing predictive or prognostic algorithms
  • Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills
  • Self-driven and works well in interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

  • Develop novel assays, algorithms, machine learning and statistical models to detect oncology related biomarkers from cell free next-generation sequencing (NGS) data
  • Design and conduct analyses applying deep genomic and epigenomic knowledge to derive key insights from large multi-modal datasets
  • Design and execute experiments to characterize performance and support various regulatory submissions
  • Produce high quality and detailed documentation for all projects
  • Communicate results with other scientific teams as well as product and bioinformatics leadership
  • Lead, mentor and/or train other scientists and engineers

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in molecular residual disease testing, therapeutic response monitoring, therapy selection, complete genomic profiling, and diagnostics
