Remote Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

Summary

Join Natera's Bioinformatics Research & Development team as a Senior/Bioinformatics Scientist to develop novel algorithms and analyze large and complex genomics data sets, with a focus on cancer recurrence monitoring.

Requirements

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field OR MS in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field w/ 2+ years industry experience
• Experience with NGS data analysis (e.g. mapping, variant calling, etc.)
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience with Linux command-line tools and shell scripting
• Ability to conduct hypothesis-driven research, visualize data, and effectively communicate results
• Strong understanding of molecular, cellular, and cancer biology
• Excellent collaborative skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and validate innovative algorithms and statistical methods to analyze large-scale data sets based on insights in cancer biology and genomics
• Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to translate biological questions into research strategies that solve challenging problems in oncology
• Contribute to experimental design and ensure data integrity and quality control
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and scientific excellence
