Senior Blockchain Engineer in United States

Summary

The Shrapnel Blockchain Team is seeking experienced developers to join their mission-focused team with industry roots in game development, studio building, and platform creation. The goal is to empower the world to share in their playful collaboration at the intersection of gaming, creation, and ownership. In this role, you will build and maintain smart contracts, nodes, and other systems using Solidity, Go, and Typescript. You'll contribute to the design and creation of services and system architecture for projects, provide feedback to team members, improve code quality, and work with product and design teams to understand end-user requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of recent hands-on coding and software design
• Experience with implementing various contracts in Solidity, including but not limited to ERC721 and ERC1155 Contracts
• Find satisfaction in a job well done and want to solve head-scratching challenges
• Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle, best practices and Agile Software Development
• Solid OOP and software design knowledge – you should know how to create software that’s extensible, reusable and meets desired architectural objectives
• A strong familiarity of Web Server technologies including NGINX, Apache and J2EE
• A strong familiarity with Cloud providers including AWS, Azure, GCP

Responsibilities

• Build robust, scalable and secure software using Solidity, Go, and Typescript
• Contribute to the design and creation of services and system architecture for projects
• Improve our code quality through writing various automated tests and performing code reviews
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to technology, algorithms and products
• Work with the product and design teams to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into a pragmatic and effective technical solution

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or more in Computer Science or a related field
• Knowledge in database systems and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB/MongoDB/LevelDB
• Experience with Solidity security testing tools such as Slither and Manticore
• Experience deploying and maintaining Kubernetes clusters
• Office365 and Google Suite proficiency
