Summary

Job Overview: Hermeneutic Investments is seeking an experienced Senior C++ Developer to work on HFT systems and core development, primarily focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications for high-frequency trading and cryptocurrency transactions. The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, have a deep understanding of software development fundamentals, and be familiar with cryptocurrency trading.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• At least 8 years of C++ development experience, and being familiar with modern C++11~C++20 features
• Experienced in building large-scale software systems in a distributed environment
• Proficiency in design patterns, network socket programming asynchronous programming, object oriented programming, and multi-threading in C++
• Experience with electronic trading systems, SORs and knowledge of FIX, REST, and other crypto/financial technology protocols
• Familiarity with the Git version control system
• Familiarity with basic linux terminal commands
• Solid problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high performance C++ applications for high frequency trading and cryptocurrency transactions
• Design server/client oriented applications with a strong sense of security and scalability to facilitate our trading activities
• Optimize code for maximum performance, and ensure efficient execution as low-latency as possible
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve software defects
• Develop and maintain monitor systems, which collect log and data to perform data analysis and create visualization dashboards
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in C++ development, financial technology, and trading systems
• Communicate effectively with team members, providing regular updates on project progress

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in High Frequency Trading for traditional or cryptocurrency markets is preferred, or at least possess a high level of interest/curiosity in these areas
• Familiarity with modern database systems(NoSQL/SQL) is desirable
