Summary

VetsEZ is seeking a Senior Cache Developer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs’ EHRM-IO and DA project. The candidate will design, code, test, debug, and document software using Cache/InterSystems HealthShare/IRIS, with 8-10 years' experience required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science
• 8-10 years’ experience in Cache/InterSystems HealthShare UCR, IRIS database, ObjectScript, XSLT Development and/or Oracle
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR), VA’s Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA), and/or Oracle Health Millennium
• 10+ years of experience with software development and testing
• Must have strong software development experience
• Must have experience in Integration protocols such as TCPIP/MLLP, SFTP, REST, SOAP
• Should have proficiency in CCDA, HL7, JSON and XML messaging

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data integrations using Cache/InterSystems HealthShare/IRIS between HIE partners and internal On-prem/Cloud systems
• Debug and fix defects in Cache/InterSystems HealthShare/IRIS related to HIE connected Healthcare participants
• Develop XSLTs and DTLs to transform CCDA/FHIR/HL7 messages to and from Summary Document Architecture (SDA) format
• Ensure systems development and support and create design and technical specifications from business requirement specifications
• Oversee best practices design and development, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with fellow developers and Technical Leads
• Enable successful project delivery and customer satisfaction
• Drive project and technology goals in compliance with organizational objectives

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with CI/CD Pipelines using GitLab is preferred
• Experience in using Cache/IRIS/HealthShare Terminal sessions will be preferred
• Strong knowledge of applying software development methodologies (SDLC, Agile) is an added advantage
• Proficiencies in relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server will be a bonus
