Responsibilities

  • Design and implement camera systems for highly scripted and controlled cinematic moments within the game
  • Lead the development of camera placements to enhance narrative scenes and ensure an impactful, purposeful viewer experience
  • Develop and oversee camera transitions that complement both gameplay mechanics and cinematic sequences
  • Work closely with the Presentation Lead and Game Director to create and land significant presentation moments through meticulous camera work
  • Proactively anticipate and resolve issues related to camera transitions in and out of gameplay
  • Utilize tools like Sequencer as the primary method for camera animation, ensuring high-quality cinematic flow
  • Maintain standards of cinematic excellence, aligning camera work with the game's artistic vision and narrative needs
  • Coordinate efforts across various departments to streamline camera integration and address production challenges
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance to elevate the overall quality of cinematic design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Led the cinematic design for successful 3rd person action-adventure games
  • Extensive experience with Unreal Engine and its cinematic tools like Sequencer
