Senior Cloud Engineer

Summary

Join Pindrop, a leader in voice authentication and deepfake detection, as a remote Cloud Network Engineer based in Ukraine. You will configure and manage cloud-native networking services, design network topologies, implement security best practices, and automate tasks using scripting tools. This role requires expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), networking concepts, security, and automation tools. Requirements

• Have the ability to understand software and cloud platforms from the ground up, become a subject matter expert on it, and have the ability to troubleshoot, configure, and repair the platform and share your findings
• Make relevant, specific, and high value recommendations to the design or implementation of a platform.  This includes categories such as automation, features, security, manageability, etc
• Be self motivated and work with minimal supervision

• Have a passion for technology and are constantly researching new/emerging solutions

• Understanding of cloud services offered by the chosen platform, including compute, storage, databases, networking, and security
• Understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and load balancers
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), and security groups
• Experience in Docker , container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, GKE, or AWS ECS/EKS
• Proficiency in monitoring tools like Prometheus, AWS CloudWatch or Azure Monitor
• Experience with log management systems like ELK Stack , CloudWatch Logs, GCP Logging
• Experience with Chef/Ansible, Bash, and python scripting
• Extensive Expertise in building infrastructure as code and automating provisioning processes using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
• Knowledge of some or all of our toolset:  Github Actions , Grafana, Jenkins, JFrog
• Five (5) years of work experience with:Maintaining Infrastructure, firewalls, load balancers, servers, monitoring systems, and private cloud systems

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage cloud-native networking services provided by cloud providers, such as AWS VPC, Google VPC, or Azure Virtual Network
• Design network topologies and architectures to meet the organization’s requirements for scalability, performance, and security
• Implement cloud network security best practices, including network segmentation, access control, and encryption
• Design and implement redundancy and failover mechanisms to ensure high availability in the cloud
• Configure and troubleshoot Application and Network Load balancers
• Use scripting tools like Python, Ansible, and Bash to automate daily tasks
• Manage and maintain different types of servers, Linux with distros like amazonlinux, centos etc
• Part of On-call rotation with occasional night/weekend work required

Preferred Qualifications

• Telephony infrastructure experience is a plus
• Working experience in Istio is a plus
