Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance or higher
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevSecOps, or enterprise infrastructure management
  • Extensive experience working with at least one major cloud provider in a DoD or US Government context (AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP)
  • Experience with maintaining secure cloud environments and alignment with the DoD Cloud SRG, NIST controls, and government cybersecurity requirements
  • Expertise in Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent IaC tools
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud networking, security, IAM, and compliance standards
  • Proficiency in automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in cloud environments
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud architecture solutions that align with business objectives
  • Automate infrastructure deployments and optimize cloud operations
  • Design and maintain high-availability, resilient, and disaster recovery-ready cloud architectures
  • Oversee the implementation of CI/CD pipelines to streamline infrastructure deployments
  • Mentor junior and mid-level cloud engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices
  • Stay ahead of emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to cloud strategies
  • Lead security, compliance, and governance initiatives for cloud infrastructure
  • Oversee performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and cost optimization strategies
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams
