Join MetroStar as a Sr. Cloud Engineer II and lead the design, automation, and management of large-scale cloud infrastructures. Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance or higher
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevSecOps, or enterprise infrastructure management
- Extensive experience working with at least one major cloud provider in a DoD or US Government context (AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP)
- Experience with maintaining secure cloud environments and alignment with the DoD Cloud SRG, NIST controls, and government cybersecurity requirements
- Expertise in Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent IaC tools
- Advanced knowledge of cloud networking, security, IAM, and compliance standards
- Proficiency in automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in cloud environments
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud architecture solutions that align with business objectives
- Automate infrastructure deployments and optimize cloud operations
- Design and maintain high-availability, resilient, and disaster recovery-ready cloud architectures
- Oversee the implementation of CI/CD pipelines to streamline infrastructure deployments
- Mentor junior and mid-level cloud engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices
- Stay ahead of emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to cloud strategies
- Lead security, compliance, and governance initiatives for cloud infrastructure
- Oversee performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and cost optimization strategies
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams
