Requirements
- Previous experience of commercial roles held within the energy sector
- Project development experience
- Knowledge of project financing, scenario modeling and investment analysis
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in CCUS area, including e-fuel production, biomass to carbon credits and integrated refinery decarbonisation
- Exeptional powerpoint presentation skills
- Have a broad knowledge the latest marketing/regulation/policy information received from the stakeholders
- Critical & analytical commercial thinking to help develop strategies
- Showcase behavioural traits of high energy, a growth mindset, being detail-orientated, a problem-solver, with strong communication and leadership potential
- A key internal influencer, being able to bring forward personnel of different professions to commonly buy into the recommendations being put forward
Responsibilities
- Be able to internally business partner with process engineering, sales application engineering and corporate development to help develop projects and provide the fundamental analysis framework that needs to be assessed early
- Supporting others in driving tasks and projects to completion
- Develop external relationships with EPC Contractors, Consultants and Project Developers to support commercial structures
- Continually engage third-party Investors through the development lifecycle. Draft investment cases, engage in discussion and provide clear updates throughout the process, to help build comprehensive carbon sales and tax incentive models under different global scenarios
- Provide continual commercial modelling and financial analysis as engineering information become more refined and agreements become signed through the project lifecycle
- Be able to fully understand, from a technical perspective, where the mandates of key infrastructure financiers are best placed to invest in the clean technology sector
- Understanding the various routes to decarbonisation for power generation assets, marine, refineries, data centres and compression applications
- Become a marine subject matter expert for Carbon Clean by understanding the compliance issues being faced, the key operators of all types of vessels, and the budgetary availability to engage in an OCCS system
- Help develop forward-looking roadmaps and understand who the competitors are
- Support engagements to help understand the feasibility and technoeconomic assessment of full carbon value-chains, including e-fuels, BECCS and alternative carbon utilisation avenues
- Identifying any needs or constraints to delivering objectives surrounding this analysis
- Shape the mandate of the Marketing Insights Team to identify and assess prime geographies and sites for carbon capture projects, encouraging effective workflows that can help the Customer Growth Team applications for public and privately funded income sources
- Prospect and identify key buyers, brokers, issuance and verification bodies for carbon credits, with knowledge of voluntary carbon credits, offtake strategies, carbon finance, and climate solution technologies
- Provide first line of sight, negotiation and assessment to Heads of Terms arrangements with the CCS value chain whilst establishing, managing and developing alliances that promote the adoption of captured CO2 throughout the midstream value chain
- Coordinate alongside Sales and Marketing Personnel to formulate a predetermined go-to-market process for market entry into new regions
- Link closely with Public Affairs Personnel and fully understand OEM service Partners, emission portfolios, Competitor activity and our unique value proposition
