Senior Consultant / Data Engineer

Summary

Join rockITdata's Emerging Solutions team as a Senior Consultant / Data Engineer. You will drive client success for major healthcare organizations by designing data visualization dashboards, developing data workflows, performing in-depth data analysis, applying AI/ML concepts, and developing business cases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges and support client engagement from discovery to implementation. This role requires a BA/BS degree, 3+ years of data and analytics experience, and expertise in data analysis tools, Talend (or similar), and data visualization platforms. Strong statistical analysis, predictive modeling, communication, and presentation skills are essential. Experience with healthcare clients and data systems is preferred.

Requirements

• Must have a BA/BS Degree
• Must have 3+ years’ experience in the data and analytics space
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Python, R, SQL)
• Expert-level skills in Talend (or similar) and data visualization platforms (e.g. Qlik, Tableau, Power BI)
• Strong statistical analysis and predictive modeling capabilities
• Advanced Excel and database management skills
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong presentation and storytelling abilities
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Critical thinking and problem-solving expertise
• Ability to lead project development

Responsibilities

• Design and create complex data visualization dashboards to communicate insights effectively
• Develop and test data workflows to transform, cleans and structure data for consumption
• Perform in-depth data analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Apply AI and ML concepts to bring innovation to clients
• Develop business cases, strategic recommendations, and implementation plans
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex business challenges and demonstrate subject matter insights
• Support client engagement from initial discovery through final recommendation and implementation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with healthcare clients and healthcare-specific data systems and electronic health records (EHR)
• Familiarity with healthcare regulatory environments (HIPAA, ACA)
• Experience in data privacy and security protocols
