Summary

Join SPRCHRGR, a fast-growing professional services consultancy, as a Senior Controller and play a critical role in optimizing the financial operations of our clients. You will work remotely, either part-time (25+ hours) or full-time (40 hours), utilizing your advanced Sage Intacct expertise to build scalable accounting systems, drive process improvements, and ensure GAAP compliance. This high-impact role requires a strategic thinker with Controller-level experience and strong communication skills. You will serve as the primary accounting lead for multiple clients, providing top-tier technical and strategic support. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including in a Controller or Senior Manager role
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Sage Intacct, including module configuration, reporting, dashboards, dimensions, and integration oversight
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and experience managing full-cycle accounting
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, XIRR, IF/THEN, etc.); VBA is a plus
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, accounting compliance, and process standardization
  • Comfortable working remotely and communicating across distributed teams
  • A proactive mindset with a strong attention to detail and process improvement orientation

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary accounting lead for multiple clients, delivering top-tier technical and strategic support
  • Utilize deep Sage Intacct knowledge to structure, configure, and optimize accounting systems and reporting frameworks
  • Ability to oversee all accounting operations including GL management, payroll, AP/AR, revenue recognition, and monthly close processes
  • Provide ongoing financial analysis to client stakeholders to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Design, document, and implement accounting policies and procedures that support scale, compliance, and efficiency
  • Lead technical accounting conversations and troubleshoot complex issues, collaborating with SPRCHRGR team members when needed
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and bring automation to manual workflows
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with clients, building trusted relationships and identifying additional ways to add value

Preferred Qualifications

Consulting experience or background working with multiple clients simultaneously is a plus
