Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in controls engineering with a focus on SCADA systems
  • Proficiency in Ignition software is essential; certification in Ignition is a plus
  • Python/Jython programming within Ignition environment
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Wago, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), especially CODESYS 3.5. with Structure Text
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and Ethernet/IP
  • Familiarity with database systems (SQL, MySQL) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required and work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and concisely

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of SCADA systems utilizing Ignition 8.0+ and CODESYS 3.5
  • Conduct detailed system analysis and engineering design to meet project requirements and stakeholder specifications
  • Program and configure SCADA applications, HMI screens, and PLCs to ensure seamless integration and functionality
  • Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues promptly
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure project milestones are met efficiently
  • Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and clients during system installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases
  • Develop comprehensive documentation including system design specifications, user manuals, and technical reports
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in SCADA systems
