Requirements
- 2-4 years of related experience
- Business acumen and work experience in the Consumer Lending Business
- High-caliber critical thinking and problem solving skills for all kinds of business problems
- Consistently demonstrates high levels of domain expertise such as underwriting of unsecured consumer loans
- Drives solutions through defining requirements all the way to implementation with minimal guidance
- Technical: High level of experience with SQL, Tableau, and R/Python
- Provides subject matter expertise insights and guidance to team members
- Experience presenting to Executive and Senior Leadership
Responsibilities
- Identify and define key business metrics (i.e. eligible demand, conversion rates, loss actuals v. forecasts) that keep the company moving forward with confidence
- Own credit policies throughout the lending process including frontline decisioning, pricing, fraud, verifications, and servicing
- Manage portfolio health and loan performance and working cross-functionally with teams such as Product, Operations and Financial Partner teams
- Understand credit risk, monitor performance of strategies and portfolio while documenting and communicating results, escalating issues as they arise
- Uncover opportunities to grow the business in a sustainable and responsible manner by mitigating risk, protecting partner returns, and putting members in the best position to succeed financially
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field, such as math, economics, CS, engineering, physics, etc
- Prior experience in fintech, big tech (financial product role) or financial services
