Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Summary

Join Jobandtalent's Security Team as a Cyber Security Engineer and contribute to the company's cyber security resilience. Reporting to the Director of Cyber Security Engineering, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate security risks. Key responsibilities include cloud security monitoring, risk assessments, threat modeling, improving security tooling and processes, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, critical thinking abilities, and experience in securing cloud infrastructure and application security. While experience with specific programming languages and automation is preferred, it's not mandatory. Responsibilities

• Monitor cloud security configurations (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) using the CSPM tool
• Integrate security into the cloud deployment environment and pipeline, working closely with DevOps teams
• Perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and security reviews
• Improve and take ownership of incident management (SecOps and Threat Detection)
• Improve detection capabilities and reduce noise for the SIEM
• Create and improve playbooks
• Improve email security
• Improve security tooling, processes, and standards to provide security assurances across the business
• Develop security guides
• Define, implement, and monitor security measures to protect Jobandtalent
• Mentor and guide more junior engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, Golang, Ruby, and Terraform
• Possess an understanding and desire for automation
• Have worked within a fast-paced business/product-oriented tech company
