Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in a data analytics role, preferably within the gaming industry
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights effectively
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds
• Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming industry trends and metrics

Responsibilities

• Interpret and Anticipate Stakeholder Requests: Collaborate with various departments including marketing, game development, and finance to understand their data needs and translate their request into actionable analytical tasks
• Create Interactive Dashboards: Design and develop user-friendly dashboards in Looker to visualize complex datasets, providing stakeholders with easy access to relevant insights
• Data Analysis and Interpretation: Conduct in-depth analysis of gaming metrics, player behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities for optimization and growth
• Collaborate with Data Engineering: Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure all events and telemetry are properly set up and maintained for long-term success, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the data
• Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems by extracting insights from data and providing actionable recommendations
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in data analytics, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance data processes and methodologies
