Senior Data Analyst

This remote position, based in Austin, Texas, involves partnering with Finance teams to provide data-driven insights, build reports and dashboards, and ensure accurate financial analysis. You will be responsible for defining and monitoring financial KPIs, collaborating with stakeholders, and improving reporting accuracy. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, expertise in SQL, Tableau, and Snowflake, and experience working with FP&A and Accounting teams. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in financial data analytics, business intelligence, or FP&A analytics
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
• Expertise in SQL, Tableau, and Snowflake
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights
• Experience working with FP&A and Accounting teams to support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting
• Familiarity with financial modeling, statistical analysis, and forecasting techniques
• Experience automating financial reporting processes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to stakeholders
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment

Responsibilities

• Partner with FP&A and Accounting teams to analyze financial data, track key metrics, and generate actionable insights
• Build and maintain financial dashboards and reports in Tableau to improve visibility into business performance
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data by working closely with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering teams to enhance data pipelines
• Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling to support strategic planning and budgeting
• Assist with ad hoc financial data requests and deep dives into company performance metrics
• Define and monitor financial KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Work closely with FP&A and Accounting teams to provide data-driven recommendations on cost optimization and revenue growth
• Assist in automating financial reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Ensure finance stakeholders have access to the right data and tools to make informed decisions
• Conduct data modeling and predictive analytics to support business initiatives
• Develop a foundational understanding of Python for analytics projects that require deeper data science techniques
• Navigate GitHub to review key tables created by Engineering
• Document insights and collaborate effectively using Confluence

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Data Build Tool (DBT) is a plus, particularly for financial data transformation and modeling
• MacOS and G-Workspace knowledge is a plus!
