Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience or 11+ years of total experience
  • Proven experience in roles such as Data Architect, Data Scientist, or Data Analyst, with mandatory experience in healthcare or insurance services
  • Expertise in data warehousing, data architecture, data vault, and business intelligence
  • Cloud-based project implementation experience (Microsoft Azure, Snowflake preferred)
  • Knowledge of data pipelines and modern data platforms
  • Proficiency in enterprise data management technologies (ETL tools, SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, data lakes, and master data management solutions)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI
  • Understanding of data lifecycle management, data quality principles, and security best practices
  • Demonstrates payer industry-specific knowledge of business processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead teams across diverse domains
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work independently while fostering team collaboration
  • Knowledge of product management, agile principles, and development methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Gather and understand business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable data architecture plans
  • Design and implement multidimensional and tabular data models to support analytics initiatives
  • Define and enforce best practices for database design, ETL/ELT development, and optimization
  • Lead and direct the development of ETL processes, ensuring adherence to optimization and scheduling best practices
  • Create architectural designs to guide solution development across systems, applications, and processes
  • Document solution architecture and perform design and analysis work to achieve business objectives
  • Collaborate across teams to drive business impact through technical solutions, aligning infrastructure and solutions with business success metrics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in Microsoft Azure BI and Analytics Stack and Snowflake
  • Hands-on experience with data warehouse modeling methodologies
  • Predictive analytics, data mining, and machine learning experience
  • Familiarity with real-time and large-batch data pipelines
  • Knowledge of FHIR standards
