Senior Data Engineer

Summary

Join us at 540 as we seek a Senior Data Engineer to develop a data transformation and workflow solution for the U.S. Army's financial system. This role will deploy and operate a replacement for a legacy financial system to the cloud, innovate new cloud-first solutions, and communicate data design decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• 6+ years of related experience
• Well-versed in Python
• Experience building and managing data pipelines
• Experience consuming data via APIs
• Hands on experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience with GitLab
• Experience building dashboards using PowerBI and/or similar data analytics tools
• Experience working via the terminal / command line
• Hands on experience using Jira and Confluence

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate a replacement for a legacy financial system to the cloud
• Innovate new cloud-first solutions for the U.S. Army’s data management ecosystem
• Communicate data design decisions to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels
