Remote Senior Data Engineer

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on work with modern warehousing solutions like Snowflake or BigQuery
• Track record of building and automating robust, scalable data pipelines
• Deep understanding of data architecture, data governance and data security
• Familiarity with orchestrators such as Airflow, Prefect or Mage.AI
• Expert knowledge of SQL and Spark
• Proficiency with at least one language out of Python / Scala / Java
• Working knowledge of Docker, Git and the command line
• Clear and direct communication skills about complex, technical topics

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom ingestion pipelines, with an initial focus on integrating aggregate Call Detail Records to accurately measure usage per eSIM / user
• Identify areas for process optimization within data engineering workflows and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reliability
• Orchestrate and monitor data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow
• Manage and optimize data warehouse performance, ensuring fast and reliable data access
• Implement and enforce data governance and security policies to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending new techniques and tools to keep us ahead of the curve

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with managing AWS / GCP services
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases
• Experience working with telco, MNOs & MNVOs
