Summary

Join Lyra Health as a Sr. Data Engineer and build and scale core data infrastructure, pipelines, and services. Design and implement a robust data warehouse for analytics and operational use cases. Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines and curated datasets. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. This role can be based in Burlingame, CA, hybrid, or fully remote within the US. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a data engineer
  • Proficiency in writing high-quality Python code (Java is a plus) and a strong track record of delivering impactful data projects
  • Experience building robust, fault-tolerant data pipelines with solid logging, alerting, and data validation—not just simple scripts
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing data warehouses using modern cloud databases like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks
  • Expertise in SQL-based data modeling with a focus on governance and enabling self serve using a development framework such as DBT
  • Experience working with sensitive data in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment
  • A thoughtful approach to balancing quality and deadlines in fast-paced settings
  • Excellent communication skills with a talent for building consensus and alignment
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to distill complex problems into clear priorities that move the team and business forward

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a robust data warehouse to support a wide range of analytics and operational use cases
  • Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines and curated data sets by working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • And of course—write code every day!

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau (a plus)
