Senior Data Engineer

Requirements

• Expert-level SQL proficiency

• Deep understanding of data warehousing principles and data modeling
• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (ideally BigQuery)
• Experience building and scaling data transformation pipelines
• Familiarity with data quality concepts
• Experience with Python for data engineering
• 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize our data warehouse architecture (BigQuery, Redshift)
• Design and build data infrastructure for LLM evaluation and data science initiatives
• Develop and maintain efficient ETL/ELT pipelines
• Implement robust analytics data models and ensure data quality
• Optimize data warehouse performance and cost
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product managers on their data needs
• Document data models and pipelines; create and maintain a data dictionary
• Scope and sequence large data initiatives into tasks and ship them quickly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DBT or similar data transformation tools
• 5+ years of experience focused on data warehousing
• Experience with BigQuery and cloud data platforms
• Startup experience
