Senior Data Engineer

Summary

Join Midwestern Interactive as a Senior Data Engineer in our contractor pool. Work remotely with flexible hours, project length, and industry. Manage data pipelines, work with specific technologies, design data structures, write tests, release software, contribute to deployment automation, and build internal tools.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound data pipelines that ingest client data and produce results in realtime
• Working with Java, Kafka, and event driven systems
• Designing data structures and modeling and mapping data
• Working with, or a willingness to dive into Neo4j
• Working with, or a willingness to dive into serverless architecture
• Writing unit and integration tests
• Releasing software into production and validating functionality
• Contributing to deployment automation
• Identifying the need for, and building internal tools to help the developer experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
