Summary

Join Multi Media LLC, a leader in digital innovation, as a Senior Data Engineer. You will play a key role in building and operating the foundation of our data platform, bridging data engineering and platform operations. Design and implement scalable data systems for ingestion, transformation, and observability. Define architecture patterns, build robust data pipelines, and optimize the performance and reliability of our data ecosystem. This impactful role involves working with petabytes of data and millions of users. Make a significant contribution to Chaturbate, a major platform in the adult entertainment industry.

Requirements

  • BS degree in a STEM field
  • 5-7 years of experience in building batch and streaming data pipelines from various sources end-to-end, including ingestion, processing, and transformation
  • You are fluent in Python and SQL
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices (e.g. data masking, PII layering)
  • Experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
  • Familiarity with data observability tools like Monte Carlo, Metaplan, or BigEye
  • Experience with Semantic modeling and common BI tools (e.g. Looker, Omni, Tableau, Metabase)
  • Deep understanding of GCP/AWS cloud infrastructure and offerings (IAM/Compute/Kubernetes/Analytics)
  • Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.) and data transformation tools (DBT, SQLMesh)
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code platforms like Terraform or Pulumi

Responsibilities

  • Design a well-partitioned and clustered data warehouse that minimizes cost while letting analysts self-serve fast queries
  • Define patterns for scalable and efficient data storage, partitioning, and access
  • Architect batch and streaming systems to enable reliable data movement and transformation
  • Build and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Airflow , dbt , and dlthub
  • Implement strategies for schema evolution, backfilling, and safe migration
  • Automate ingestion from APIs, event streams, file drops, and third-party sources
  • Implement validation frameworks, anomaly detection, and unit tests across pipelines
  • Monitor data health and build resilient processes for issue detection and resolution
  • Contribute to internal tooling, documentation, and engineering standards
  • Support CI/CD workflows for data pipelines and analytics code
  • Optimize compute/storage usage and recommend architectural or cost-saving improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of data governance best practices
  • Deep experience with data modeling and database architecture
