Senior Data Engineer

Join PAR Technology as a Senior Data Engineer and play a critical role in shaping Punchh’s data innovations. You will create cutting-edge Big Data solutions, collaborating with Machine Learning, Software Engineering, and Product Departments. This remote or hybrid (Jaipur/Gurgaon) position offers a competitive salary (Rs.33 Lakhs-Rs.35 Lakhs) and potential for additional compensation. You will work with large datasets, implement data pipelines, and optimize internal data infrastructure. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in big data technologies, cloud technologies (preferably AWS), and strong communication skills.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Big Data engineering professional, developing scalable big data solutions
• Advanced degree in computer science, engineering or other related fields
• Demonstrated strength in data modelling and SQL within a Lakehouse architecture
• Extensive knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS
• Excellent software engineering background. High familiarity with software development life cycle. Familiarity with GitHub
• Advanced knowledge of big data technologies, and programming language (Python), relational (Postgres, mysql), NoSQL (Mongodb), and streaming (Kafka, Spark)
• Must have PySpark and Spark Streaming experience
• Must Have Databricks experience
• Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated rigor in building and maintaining a complex data pipeline
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to articulate a complex concept with thoughtful, actionable recommendations

Responsibilities

• Work with large data sets and implement sophisticated data pipelines with both structured and semi structured data
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable solutions
• Manage and optimize our internal data pipeline that supports marketing, customer success and data science to name a few
• Focus on ingesting, storing, processing, and analyzing large datasets
• Be a technical leader of PAR’s big data platform that supports AI and BI products
• Work with infra and operations team to monitor and optimize existing infrastructure
• Develop and implement pipelines that extract, transform, and load data into an information product that helps the organization reach its strategic goals
• Help define data governance policies and support data-versioning processes

Benefits

• The base salary range for this position is (Rs.33 Lakhs-Rs.35 Lakhs) commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education and prior accomplishments
• This position may be eligible for additional compensation including a bonus, commission and/or equity as applicable
