Summary

Join a top-tier, remote-first game development studio as a Senior Data Engineer and be at the heart of the data infrastructure supporting analytics, marketing, and AI teams. Ensure clean, accessible data flows across the organization to support smarter user acquisition, retention strategies, and game optimization. Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver self-service analytics solutions. Develop tooling and processes that empower teams to make fast, data-informed decisions. Continuously improve data accessibility and integrity. This is a collaborative, high-impact role focused on scalability, automation, and actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with large-scale distributed data systems (e.g., Spark, Flink)
  • Advanced SQL and Python skills
  • Experience with modern data platforms and cloud tools (e.g., Databricks, AWS)
  • Solid understanding of ELT/ETL processes and orchestration tools like Airflow or Beam
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics platforms (e.g., Braze, AppsFlyer)
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support analytics and reporting
  • Ensure high-quality marketing and game data to optimize player acquisition and retention
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (analytics, product, engineering, AI) to deliver self-service analytics solutions
  • Develop tooling and processes that empower teams to make fast, data-informed decisions
  • Continuously improve data accessibility and integrity across the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in mobile or live-service games
  • Experience with backend development (C# preferred)
  • Familiarity with recommendation engines or live player data systems
  • Knowledge of NoSQL or operational databases (e.g., Redis, DynamoDB)
