Summary
The job is for a Senior Data Engineer at TrustYou in Spain or Germany. The role involves designing, building, and operating data processing pipelines, engaging with the product team, participating in architectural decisions, taking responsibility for planning and designing software, thinking forward, co-creating the vision for the future, supporting and mentoring others. The ideal candidate has more than 10 years of total experience, proficiency in Python, hands-on experience with Kafka, solid understanding of multiple databases, experience with Docker and Kubernetes, excellent teamwork skills, an agile mindset, fluency in English, and ideally experience owning a complex subsystem or building one from scratch. Requirements
- More than 10 years of total experience, with at least 4 years focused on data intensive applications
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and manipulation
- Hands-on experience with Kafka for building streaming-based data pipelines
- Solid understanding of multiple relational and non relational database systems, like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch or ClickHouse
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of SRE tools and techniques
- Excellent teamwork skills, with clear communication, flexibility, openness to debate and challenge, and the ability to mentor other team members
- An agile mindset to deliver great products with an iterative approach
- Fluency in English
Responsibilities
- Designing, building and operating data processing pipelines as a part of a seasoned data engineering team
- Engaging with our product team to understand our customers and deliver a great value for them
- Participating in architectural decisions and technology management
- Taking responsibility for planning and designing software

Preferred Qualifications
- Experienced with owning a complex subsystem / building one from scratch
- Experienced making impactful architectural choices with detailed trade-off analysis
- Experienced in designing and implementing scalable data-intensive APIs
- Having a bias for the automation of testing and deployment
- Looking forward to adopting AI extensively, both for the daily work and as part of our SaaS platform
- Strongly aligned with business goals, with definition and measurement of relevant KPIs
