Senior Data Scientist - Account Opening

Join Feedzai's Product Team as a Product Data Science leader, guiding Data Science/Machine Learning teams in developing financial crime-fighting products. You will leverage your deep data science expertise to provide strategic support, hire top-tier data scientists, and plan product development execution. You will collaborate closely with a small team, provide technical feedback, and plan and execute data science initiatives. Work with key stakeholders across engineering and product teams to develop and empower top-tier data science and technology practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with very large datasets
• 4+ years of experience in applied ML
• 4+ years of data science work, including experiment design
• Experience in communicating complex concepts to customers and/or key stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a small team of data scientists whose work has a direct impact on detecting financial crime activity
• Provide technical feedback to the team regarding architecture, design, experimental setups, and code reviews
• Be responsible for the planning, execution, and success of Data Science initiatives, with support from the team
• Work with key stakeholders across all groups within the Engineering and Product Teams
• Develop and empower top-class data science and technology practices in the teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in banking including Account Opening, or Credit Risk Scoring is highly valuable
• Experience working on high-uncertainty projects that move quickly and have ever-changing processes and structure
• Demonstrated skills in leadership, adaptability, problem-solving, and critical thinking
• Be able to handle stakeholder’s expectations and push-back when necessary to ensure the success of the project
• Be solution-oriented, and when issues arise, be able to roll up your sleeves and tackle them with a ‘get it done’ attitude
• Team player with a clear focus on taking the performance of teams to the next level
• Solid background in data science practices and applied Machine Learning principles
• Experience working in customer-facing Data Science initiatives
• Experience working in Machine Learning Platform initiatives
• Experience working in the fraud detection domain
