Requirements

  • Drive impact with data; have a proven track record of using data to influence business decisions and contribute directly to company growth
  • Excel in core data science skills; approach problems with a hypothesis-driven mindset, effectively use SQL to extract and manipulate data, think numerically, design and forecast goal metrics, uncover strategic insights, and communicate findings through compelling data storytelling
  • Demonstrate key soft skills; prioritize accuracy, interpret data faithfully, communicate persuasively in both written and spoken formats, and present complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Have a strong analytical foundation; have a background in mathematics, statistics, or a STEM-related field

Responsibilities

  • Uncover strategic insights by combining deep product knowledge with data analysis to identify opportunities for growth and feature improvements
  • Design and analyze experiments to test hypotheses drawn from user research and data insights, then analyze results to inform product decisions
  • Define and influence with metrics by creating and refining goal metrics, forecasting targets, and designing analytic events to track feature usage. Develop dashboards that monitor performance and diagnose issues, ensuring data-driven decision-making
  • Provide data for decision-making by supporting teams with insights on feature usage and exploring ways to improve efficiency through automation and self-serve analytics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bring additional technical expertise; have experience with experimentation, designing analytic events, and working with data warehousing solutions
  • Understand the dynamics of tech companies; be familiar with key industry concepts such as growth accounting, product funnels, and event instrumentation
  • Have hands-on experience with large-scale data; be proficient in Python or R and have worked with large datasets in a professional setting
