Join Elastic's Support Organization as a Data Scientist to leverage data-driven insights and improve customer experiences. You will analyze telemetry and ticketing data, build predictive models, develop automation solutions, and design dashboards using Tableau. Collaborate with various teams to address data gaps and improve telemetry insights. Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in a relevant field, along with strong Python proficiency and experience with data visualization tools. Requirements
- Possess a Bachelorโs degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or similar) with 5+ years of experience, OR a Masterโs degree with 3+ years of experience in data science or a related role
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and model development
- Have experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
- Possess expertise in querying and managing large datasets using BigQuery or other SQL-based tools
- Show familiarity with machine learning and statistical models, including predictive modeling and clustering techniques
- Understand support processes, including ticketing systems and automation workflows (e.g., Auto Ops, in-product assistants)
- Have the ability to work with telemetry data to extract insights and enhance operational efficiency
- Be able to communicate and contribute to the business direction based on your insights
Responsibilities
- Analyze telemetry and ticketing data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
- Build predictive models to forecast ticket volumes and enhance resolution efficiency
- Develop automation-focused data science solutions, such as Auto Ops and in-product assistants
- Design and maintain dashboards using Tableau to track support metrics, monitor performance, identify anomalies, and provide actionable insights
- Partner with product, support, and engineering teams to address data gaps, understand business needs, and improve telemetry insights
- Conduct root cause analyses to improve support processes and recommend impactful strategies
- Collaborate with enterprise data scientists to develop models and visualizations aligned with business goals
- Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, driving alignment and decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery
- Show familiarity with support automation tools like Auto Ops
- Possess a solid understanding of VertexAI or Databricks platform
- Have working knowledge of monitoring deployed models for concept drift and retraining needs
- Have previous experience working with support-related data
