Senior Data Scientist

Summary

Join Mysten Labs' data science team as a Senior Data Scientist and contribute to the development of foundational infrastructure for decentralized protocols. Partner with product, engineering, and partnership teams to conceptualize, measure, and report on product rollouts, chain health, and ecosystem behaviors. Build descriptive dashboards and generate one-off analyses for product partners. The ideal candidate possesses strong SQL and visualization skills and a deep interest in web3 technologies. Data engineering experience, including streaming high-volume data and using Python and Rust for logging, is valued. Requirements

• A deep interest in ways to bring web3 technologies to daily life
• Strong SQL and visualization skills, with a deep desire to communicate clearly and captivatingly
• Strong attention to detail and the desire to work on data analysis as a collaborative discipline between data, engineering, product, and marketing teams
• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which may include verification of employment history, education credentials, criminal history, and other relevant information

Responsibilities

• Create dashboards that drive product understanding for our PMs, engineers, and executive leadership team
• Run analyses to identify high impact applications for Mysten Lab’s many novel web3 technologies
• Collaborate with the data and engineering teams to set new standards for web3 measurement across the industry
• Make data processing jobs run reliably in a lightweight scrappy environment

Preferred Qualifications

Data Engineering experience will be valued, including streaming high-volume data, data warehousing, and experience in using Python and Rust for logging
